Laelia - Regular

This page includes all regular (not selected for shape or color, etc...) Laelia species, Brazilian or exotic.

Laelia bahiensis

A species that is difficult to find in cultivation. It is related to Laelia crispata (flava), but the flowers are smaller and frequently more in orange-yellow tones with orange fringing on the lip.

2" - 15.00

Laelia briegeri

Probably the nicest of the "rupiculous laelias" in shape, the species produces gorgeous bright yellow flowers. Tall flower spikes nicely display the several 2" flowers.

FS - 15.00

Laelia caulescens (crispilabia)

One of the showiest species of rupicolous laelias with pink to magenta flowers. Flowers are about 2" and produced on long inflorescences. As with most of the species in the group, high light is a necessity for good blooming.

FS - 15.00

Laelia fidelensis

Very rare Brazilian species. Medium-sized (around 3") delicate pink flowers that are produced 1-2 (rarely 3) on a fairly long inflorescence. Intermediate growers.

3" - 20.00

Laelia liliputiana

The smallest of the rupiculous laelias. The ¾" flowers are produced usually singly on short spikes, the whole plant with flowers usually not exceeding 3" in height. Lips have a bright yellow throat. Fairly bright light.

2" (FS) - 15.00

Laelia tereticaulis

Very similar to Laelia rupestris, L. tereticaulis produces flowers of equivalent size, but essentially the lip is different being darker at the frontlobe and with a narrower isthmus. Plant are essentially similar, but they tend to be taller and with longer inflorescences.
